Once the home of Edward VII’s mistress, Langtry’s is a charming and sophisticated restaurant in exclusive Knightsbridge. The restaurant is now part of the Cadogan Hotel, and offers a suitably British menu of unique and flavoursome dishes.
Sumptuous and elegant, the interior at Langtry’s features oversized mirrors, an original glass chandelier and velvet armchairs in jewelled shades of amethyst, ruby and amber. A magnificent Carrara marble Louis XIV fireplace completes the air of decadent indulgence.
Head chef Oliver Lesnik has created the delicious Langtry’s menu for 2010, with starters like sun-dried tomato & fennel soup or pressed foie gras, Norfolk ham hock & chicken and beetroot compote. Sample main courses include roast sea bream with a black olive crust, baby fennel & warm pepper salad or char-grilled rib of Buccleuch beef with hand cut chips and béarnaise sauce.
